I had Classe, Bryston, and Musical fidelity amps before the Odysseys. Was never exactly satisfied, obviously, with any of the others. Read about Odyssey on Audiogon, called Klaus, and ordered the Mono Extremes. This was five years ago, so I had an early production model of the amps, but unlike with the others I have not had the slightest urge to try anything else. With these amps, the upgrade-itis disease goes away, at least in regard to amplification. My pair are in red, or burgandy as Klaus calls it. They perfectly match my speakers finished in "Jaguar Red," and now I have a little Promitheus TVC, also in a reddish finish. With the recent addition of a Marantz SA - 7 SACD player, I am in hog heaven. But the foundation and backbone of the system are those glorious amps. Thanks, Klaus.
