Downloaded and installed the latest Slimserver and immediately noticed that probably a third of my music was not recognized by my SB3 interface. I'm using iTunes, should I just clear the index and force Slimserver to re-index my iTunes directory again?

Is this common with a new SW download?

Did you give it enough time to rescan your music library.  The main drawback to slimserver in my mind is the loooong time it takes to scan a sizeable music library.

When I installed the latest version I just set it to scan overnight and went to bed.  It's the "watched pot never boils" syndrome.

How big of a collection are you guys talking?  Mine does 300 cd's in a few minutes.  It's usually not that bad.

BrassEar:
Did you delete the old ss software completely? I've had problems with iTunes/Mac OSX too but it worked fine after I deleted all the files of the existing ss before installing the current version(6.2.2) Be sure to delete the icon in the preferences folder too.
