I can second the Word recommendation as well, I forgot about them.  I have one of their albums (do they have more?) and it is in regular play for me.

They only have the one cd that I know of.  I think the plan is to someday make a second album.  My son got to see them at Bonaroo last year.  He said they were great.

Dirty Pool is my favorite but I have two others that I like almost as much:

Bang That Bell and Rendevous With The Blues.  Bang That Bell is worth getting just for the song Even Trolls Love Rock & Roll.  Rendezvous has a killer cover of the Stephen Stills song Black Queen that is more SRV then Stills.

You really gotta check out some Jimmy Thackery if you haven't already.

I ordered a SCW's disc on jr.com at their $6.99 price but my order was canceled by them.  No idea why.  Any recommendations as to what album to start with?

Check out Trevor Finlay - www.tfband.com - he's a really good guitarist, along the lines of David Wilcox, George Thorogood, etc.

I was hanging out playing cards last night and flipping through my collection when I re-discovered my Scott Henderson "Dog Party" CD. Damn that guy can play. I just ordered a couple of other of his CDs. Perfect drinking music!

I'd recommend checking out Tore Down House - another great Scott Henderson blues cd.  For something a little different try either of the Vital Tech Tones cds (VTT 1 and VTT2).  This is a instrumental side  project composed of Henderson on guitar, Victor Wooten on bass and Steve Smith on drums.  It's not blues per se but both cds rock hard.
