Ok. I am bored. I admit it. Hence this topic.

What do you call your "Stereo"?

Do you say to friends "My System is ..." or " My Sound System..."?

Or do you call it your "Stereo"?

I, myself, refer to the electronics as "The great big pile of black and silver in the corner."

"The Rig" is the term (coined by my wife) used when referring to the main stereo.

In general its "the stereo"

However, the name that seems to have stuck to our (Bolder Cable) modded Squeezebox2 is "the fantastic machine".

Jimmy's the name of the TV in our guest room.

There was a fault somewhere in it's little remotebrain so it would always turn itself on around midnight. It was tuned to the Jimmy Kimmel show the first time it happened and it was never changed.

Jimmy would just come on randomly and, of course, someone would need to go downstairs and turn Jimmy off.

I kid you not.
