I have a titanium G4 Powerbook with a screen backlight that won't stay lit. A little research revealed that the backlight is controlled by an 'inverter board'. Local shop wants a couple hundred bucks but would not give me better than 50/50 odds it would solve the problem. So I bought the board and put it in myself. Did not solve the problem.
Anyone have a guess for a solution? (screen will come on when first started and then backlight goes off. The display itself works as does the video card)
