Power wise...they are different..... 80 watts compared to 250 watts.
    Would matter depending on one's speaker choice. :) [/list:u]

I should mention that both of these amps are only driving the planar/ribbon part of the Vmps speakers. Even the BC has enough power for that. The AVA is obviously way overkill but try to find a late model one used, your choices are limited to say the least.  The power of these amps will have nothing to do with the sound.
