Need help from Hagclock builders.

Hello!  Does anyone have 1 of the 39pF BC1008CT caps leftover from their project they could sell me?  Digikey has them backordered for 6 weeks.  You have to buy a bag of 10, but only need 1 for the project. I will mail cash.  I was also wondering if I could use the Cardas 28 guage chasis wire I have lying around instead of CAT5 cable wire for the hookup wire?  Any tips on how I tap in for power and where the hook-up wires go on a Music Hall CD25 would be greatly appreciated.  I plan on removing and using the crystal inside the player.  I miraculously assembled a working Cornet II  that sounds incredible and am now building a Hagclock.  The learning curve is mighty steep right now!  Thanks for the help in advance!  Peace.  Robert

I'll send you a 39pF.  Pretty sure I have something lying around.  The Cardas wire would be ok if you can twist it into the proper geometry.  That is, about 1.5 to 2 turns per inch.

Another quick question on Hagclock

On footnote 2 it says to use a 10pF for 11MHZ only.  If I am using the 16MHZ crystal do I not put anything in C17?  Sorry if the answer is really obvious!  Peace.  Robert

12AT7, ok you get one too.  I'll have to fix manual, as there are plenty of 39pF caps of other numbers available from DigiKey.  They just keep running out of the ones I specify.

Digikey numbers.

Hello Jim!  If you give me the Digikey number of one that is stocked, I will gladly order it.  I tried ordering a substitute on my own and got these super tiny ones the size of a pencil point.  A Digikey number for the 100 ohm resistor I need for the hookup wire would be greatly appreciated also.  Have a great Easter.  I am in no rush to get a response.  Peace.  Robert

Seems at the momnet they have four numbers in stock:

399-4238
490-3652
490-3731
495-1007-1*

Last one min qty 10.  I'd get the first one.

Thanks! 1 more question for now.

Thanks for taking the time to look that up Jim!  I thought I better ask one more question before placing my order from Digikey.  The picture of the Hagclock shows a round red part in the holes marked CLK, GND and in-between C16 & C11.  Are those parts I need to order? If so, a Digikey part number would really help alot.  What are they for?  Peace.  Robert

Those are just test points.  Make it easier to attach a scope probe.  Was using #5000K-ND.
