The RACK goes on sale! Finally.

It took me awhile to get around to it.  Formalized the RACK as a product for sale, $6999.  Basically, you get an ac line conditioner and a rack for $703.  Not a super discount, but this stuff is underpriced already.

Just posted the first one at audiogon with an opening bid of $5999.  You can spend more on just a handcrafted made-in-USA tube linestage (from someone else).

My eye keeps going back to "The Rack".  By that I mean just the empty Rack, because I now have several "C-series" pieces.  I can not see, despite the apparent simplicity of your design, how it actualy is screwed together.  The pictures look like the equipment, per se, is screwed to the wood slats.  Is this design proprietary?  Could you let a known cutomer in on it?  Alternatively, pay for the plans?  Thanks.

Maybe you should list pricing on the Rack in a few combinations:

The do everything Rack as shown,
The Analog Rack (sans Chime)
The Digital Rack (sans Cornet)
The Amp Rack (Power cond, clarinet, cymbals)

Very cool!

Ain't that rack way cool!  Ridiculously simple (and actually part of the original plan).  The "C" series chassis from Lansing are 1/2 rack types that allow rackmount ears to be added.  Well, that means there are screw holes available on the chassis side panels that go unused.

I used large head philips 1" 10-32 bolts to secure the wood to the chassis.  Just cut four pieces of 1x2 wood strips.  Very cheap from the lumber yard, in a variety of species.  I use a side piece to mark holes and space the chassis 8" apart.  Give yourself an extra 2" at the bottom so you can add whatever feet or sliders you like.  Drill the holes down the centerline of the wood.

The whole thing bolts together very easily.  It is incredibly solid, and even at this height not prone to get pushed over.  The heavy Cymbals at the bottom are like anchors.  The wood also helps to dampen any chassis vibrations.  For $20 in parts, you get a super rack.
