In a small room, sitting against the back wall, the WR125 in a ported box was to boomy. A sealed box of 0.375ft3 is much better, but a little more low end would be great.  A previous thread mentioned a dayton 8inch passive radiator in a 0.5ft3 box would be -3db at 45hz, so I bought a couple.
I've never used a radiator before, is it OK to mount it on either the front or back of the box?  Any opinions on box size other than the 0.5ft3? There's a place to add mass to the radiator,  How do you tune it?
Thanks, Ryan

PRs can be mounted front or back, I don't think it matters. You tune the radiator by adding washers typically to the threaded rod.

Using Winisd:
.5 ft^3 would work with no added mass decently, -3 at 60Hz, 17ms group delay.
Going smaller just gives a larger bass bump.
Going larger flattens the response, with no good affects by adding mass.

.5 with no more mass seems to be as good as you're going to get.

Thanks for the response voodoo. I hadn't recieved any responses so I went ahead and built the 0.5ft3 boxes with the pr's in the rear. I think this is a great box for my room, not boomy when I'm against the back wall like the ported, and more bass than the sealed. Now I need to transfer over the tweeters and put a finish on the boxes.

Glad to hear it, and sorry I didn't post sooner.

I'm finishing my own pair of 7L sealed boxes for FR125s I ordered from Kevin as well.
