You could use helium cables, or tubes, and tie regular cables to them via fish line or some thing really small.

Check out the Cable Tower web site:

http://www.cabletower.com/pages/1/index.htm

They show data of stray capacitance to ground tests and insertion capaciatance tests.  The were a PFO Audio Oasis Award recipient
at CES 2006.  There are several profesional reviews on the Cable Towers.

Has anyone here tried out the $99 the cabletower yet??
You can save yourself some money by going down to Lowe's or Home Depot and purchase a 3" ABS or PVC pipe, cut it into small section and drill a hole in the middle of the pipe. Voila!! you have a $0.99 DIY cabletower.

OK guys, who's in for a group buy?

We can get 1,000 ten ounce styrofoam cups for $30.

...a third the cost of that over priced PVC pipe!

I didn't go through all seven pages, but if no one's mentioned it yet, make sure you go over to www.signalcable.com and check out Frank's cable risers.  Very nice quality, stealth, and he ships fast!

Here's the fix...
Mount the offending components from the ceiling.
The cables/interconnects are suspended in air by the effect of the downforce of gravity, unless of course your cables are longer than your ceiling height,  in that case...just remodel the house until the ceiling is approx 2.75 X cable length.
This extra room would also allow for your local FBO approach/landing patterns.
