My current cabinet doesn't fit all my gear anymore plus my 10 month old is now attracted to the amps and wires running to them which are sitting on the floor.  Can any of you recommend a cabinet from an online dealer?

I need one with doors and at least 6 shelves.  I think that I am looking for a wide cabinet with the option of putting a TV on it at a later date.

thanks,

Chris

AudioAdvisor has lots of choices.  But can the remote work through a door?

Kid proofing never ends until you can have your own lockable room or they move out (for good).  Stuff still happens as innocense is exchanged for increased reach and knowledge.  Even my 4 pound cat knocked over a large standmount on a 12 inch stand.

You might want something like this from Salamander:

You can find these used on Audiogon or online at AudioAdvisor.com

A remote absolutely works through the doors.  The unit above has six shelves and has done a pretty good job of keeping my little ones away from the gear.

Salamander!  I went for the Synergy, which has different options for doors, side panels, and feet.  I got the steel doors which look great and let remotes through.

I am very impressed with the engineering too.  The shelves and all accessories bolt straight into the support columns, making everything very clean and solid.

I have a carpeted floor in my room.  I got casters for the rack and some ceramic floor tiles (cheap) from Lowes to place underneath.  When I want to play behind the rack, I just wheel it out.  Afterward, it tucks back against the wall.  It is the rack I always knew was possible.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tip.  The Salamander Synergy Triple 30 looks like it has what I need.

Ouch, Chris.  Baby gate is much cheaper........http://www.onestepahead.com/product/85217/300/117.html My girl has understood not to go near my hot tubes since she's been 2 1/2.  You only have to put up with it for another couple of years.........
