I like a little bit of Dean Martin, more of a fan of Sammy Davis or Frank Sinatra.....

Any ways which CD's are good, if any? A lot of there stuff is old but then again there is a lot of quality stuff from the same era reaching back into before they where big....

I got a feeling maybe only a couple would even listen to them, but maybe that few know a few good quality albums.

Sinatra at the Sands is an excellent live album.  Their catalog is so extensive you may want to check allmusic.com first before purchasing.

My god, all of them; Sinatra in particular.  I collect his albums.  He was a master entertainer.

Sinatra at the Sands is a must own.  Amazing live show.  The most intimate and expressive recording of "One more for the road" you'll find anywhere.

Come Dance with Me.  Excellent recording.  Amazing big band behind him on this one.  Swing swing swing to this one.

Sinatra with Antonio Carlos Jobim - amazing bossa nova sound.  I instantly think beach bar at a secluded island resort.

Reprise has a lot of classics.  This is a good starter compilation.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000002LOI/qid=1144107601/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/102-3525949-6246532?s=music&v=glance&n=5174

Those four should give you a great flavor for Sinatra.  If you like that, this limited edition import is perhaps the best and most comprehensive compilation I've found:

My Way: The Best of Frank

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000024SLM/qid=1144107601/sr=1-8/ref=sr_1_8/102-3525949-6246532?s=music&v=glance&n=5174

Compilations are never really cohesive enough for me.  Buy all of the first three, if you have the inclination and the cash.  They're well worth it.

Sammy and Dean are much harder to find good recordings of.  You may find all three on a compilation that has been wonderfully remastered:

Best "rat pack" compilation, in my opinion.

Buy some and tell me what you think.  I'd love to talk Sinatra & co. w/ someone.

Also, if you want more flavor for the entertainer, this is a very fun DVD:

He sings with Jobim and Ella Fitzgerald on this one.

Smoke filled stage w/ Jobim on an acoustic guitar.  Lights low, sweat on their brows.  This is the stuff of legends.

Excellent capture of Ella's voice on this one too!

Oh, you got me excited.  I know what I'll be listening to tonight.  My wife gets so sick of this stuff.  Oh well!  :-)

This one looks promising...

I have "Boys Night Out" and the quality of the voice is just poor. The orcistra sounds better than the singers! Amazon's clips from that album I posted a link to sound better.....

Sinatra '57 is also very nice. This was a DCC gold disc remastered by Steve Hoffman and as such is mighty pricey if you can find it.
