I have a buddy that wants to install his own speakers into a brand new house.  The drywall is being installed at anytime.  He will be only needing a single driver (no crossover).  2 speakers need and they will be 10 feet apart and filling large hallway and front/living room (ambient sound)
40 watt per channel Onkyo will be powering it.
Any suggestions on drivers and box size....wiring is already there.

Sorry about the slow response. No experience myself, but my ex-landlord did some of this, apparently you just buy the speakers in a little box pre-wired. He said the quality varies widely, so... um... well I guess that's not much help
