Not wanting to use my tube gear to break in my Super 3XRS's I dug
out an old Toshiba amp(actually sounds pretty good like most old Toshiba & Hitachi amps) so needed some bare wire for its sprinfg terminals.
Casting about I found 2 10 lengths of ......TARA KLARA-sounds quite neutral with a good sound stage !
Be interesting to see how it compares to the Bolder M-80 and Mapleshade I have on the way.Could live with the Klara if I had to. :-)

Hi bebop Len,

Good old-fashioned solid core magnet wire sound very good too.

Thanks again,
Louis

Even simple pairs of single strand CAT5 sound good.  Experts say you need at least 18 gauge wire to get full bass, but Omega speakers don't go below 50 Hz anyway, so no problem.

"Omega speakers don't go under 50Hz anyway...."

Really. Mine sure do. I am interested in knowing what you base that pronouncement upon. Inquiring minds want to know.

Besides, my understanding was that small gauge wires attenuate the highs, not the lows.
