So Stereophiles recommend people to pay $350k for  just an amp? With that money I would rather buy a Ferrari 612 + an Aston Martin V8 Vantage!

I suspect anyone who pays $350K for a pair of mono-blocks already bought those cars for their kids birthdays.

This reminds me of reading a Ferrari road test somewhere in a car magazine where the owner of one of the tested cars said "I buy Porsches for my kids to drive to school"

I was misquoted.

I said,  "I buy Porches for my kids to drive AT school."

Sheez! Like my kids drive to school. They board at Mercersburg Academy,  for pete's sake.

I'm sorry but I misquoted the quoter. He actually said: " I donate Porsches to bake sales for poor people whose kids have to attend public schools"

"I FLY WHENEVER I GET A CHANCE. THAT'S SOMETHING I REALLY LOVE DOING. I HAVE A SHOWER AND HAVE A NICE BREAKFAST, AND I GET TO THE AIRPORT AND THINK AIRPLANES ALL DAY. IT'S NICE TO HAVE THAT ESCAPE."

I'm a pilot and a huge Rush fan - and I'd no idea Alex is also a pilot.   Very cool!

Oh, and hello!

Who do you think pays all the bills at Stereophile?

Those Rec lists are true revenue generators for JA and his publisher.
