After dinking around on this site in the afternoon, I sometimes come up with random--I wonder if this would sound good?--type thoughts.
In the spirit of awesome DIY projects, I started thinking....what if one were to put

I mean after all the base of the excelarray is just a base and not, to my knowledge, doing anything particular. So why not put the subs in the base and have the upright tube coming out up behind the mid and ribbon tower?
Of course, the speakers would be seriously deep then I imagine. But who cares? I mean you would have to have a really big room anyway!
