It's a great CD.  .  . not one to write a "review", but I hightly recommend it.

Check out his video of the title track, which is my favorite song on the album. . .

David Gilmour recorded a concert for BBC radio here in the UK. It is to be broadcast on Saturday at 20.30 UK time.

More info at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/events/davidgilmour/index.shtml

Don't know whether it will be available on Alien BBC but the site linked above will allow listening 'live' over the web.

Sweeeeeet

Gilmour with Crosby and Nash for back up harmony.

Man, if your over 40, it doesn't get much better than that. 8)

I'll get the CD, on the strength of that cut alone.

Thanks for the heads up.

I just turned 28 today. . .I dig it. . .hehe. . .

The CD is tremendous. . .but I'm a Gilmour/Pink Floyd SUPERFreak. . .

It amazes me how his voice hasn't changed one bit. . .he quit smoking during the recording of Wish You Were Here, so I heard. . .good motivation for me as an amateur singer. . .hehe. . .I've cut back like 95% the last week, on my way to quitting. . .

OKAY, back on topic. . .

Amen John. I will buy this in a heartbeat. That song sounds fantastic and mellow with a ripping signature Gilmour solo..

Nice tune and video!
Thanks for the link.
I'd been wondering what Crosby and Nash had been doing lately; they got put to good use here.

Most excellent.

I am a huge Steely Dan and Donald Fagen fan and I got a chance to hear the album on promo.  Everyone seems to be ga-ga about it but I can honestly say I'm not totally cracked up with it.  It does have a few excellent cuts but overall I was kind of lukewarm. I like the Gilmour much better and I'm not a huge Pink Floyd fan.  :P

I have a few years before I sea 40 but you can bet your ass I will be picking this one up. I just saw it advertised last night and told my wife, "I'm getting that one".

Always been a Pink Floyd fan as well as Gilmore and Barrett. I have 4 different versions of Dark Side on both vinyl (pre 73) and CD.

I hear this new one is also available on vinyl?

 1) Vinyl pre 73
 2) Vinyl post 73
 3) CD redbook
 4) CD - Mobile Fidelity Ultra Disc 24k Gold plated

With the pre 73 vinyl and Mo-Fi CD, I don't need anything more.

Gilmour does a great job on this recording. I can see why it was the longest running album ever to stay in the top 100.

I also have Roger Waters - in the flesh - live on SACD. This is another "must have" for Pink Floyd fans. Excellent recording.
