Pardon the diversion, but........

Skeevy? Another one of those East Coast terms??

I never knew I was a "guinea" until I was shoved off to Philadelphia. Looked like quite a schmuck when I did not catch on that "Yo.......kid.......yo......guinea...... .....you stupid or what" was aimed my way.

All this skeeviness (there's a pun in there somewhere

) prompted me to look into its etymology (i'd never heard the word before). The most info (speculative, i'd say) i could find was here http://www.thediscouragingword.com/archives/arc11.shtml --scroll towards the bottom or search for "skeevy".

It's also mentioned in the Urban Dictionary and wikipedia

The word schifo is used to express disgust. As in: Questi buffoni fanno schifo (These buffoons are disgusting.)

Since schi is pronounced "ski", I guess it could get corrupted to skeevy. Especially if the Sicilians are involved.

There is no excuse for TNT actions, but I think you guys are being a bunch of wankurs with this issue.

The real world does not revolve around this audiocircle forum. You expect the manager of a company to know every detail of what happened on an obscure internet forum with posts by an engineer? take a deep breath and come back to reality.

It does seem like a large part of their marketing effort was directed at AC, at least initially. So things at Nuforce might well revolve around this "obscure internet forum."

Besides, I'm all laughed out. Work is stacked up from yesterday.

FWIIW........I have stuck up for Jason's, as well as others', firms on more than one forum. More times than most will know. So, having done my best to stand up for a fellow manufacturer when need be, I don't think it is unreasonable to have a good laugh at their expense when they shoot themselves in the foot.

Time for all of us to get back to work.

This is very sad. An audio Amplifier designer running around bashing other manufactures especially, their competitor. This is completely unethical and unprofesional.

Art- Btw, if you go back at Nuforce circle, There was bashing of the ICE from Jason as well. So really, there should be no surprise here.

If Jason wants to bash ICEpower in their own circle.........well, it is their circle.

I stick up for everyone, even some of dubious character, when the members of the peanut gallery lecture us on how we should build this, that, or the other thing. And how we all are gouging the consumer and getting fat in the process. Sticking $25 modules in $50 metal boxes and charging $$$$$ for it. Lectures on what wire, caps, and solder to use. That sort of stuff.

I invite them to try to what we do, so we can then take pot shots at them.

They don't, of course.

Should the prices be shown in a different manner to make it easier to find? This is what happens when engineers also do the marketing.
