SP2 bass management ?
« on: 6 Mar 2006, 03:46 am »
On the SP2, if the front left/right speakers are set as large, all others are set to small, and sub is set to none, can the processor send the LFE information to the front L/R speakers?

I currently use the 10B sub crossover with a passive subwoofer and main speakers that are optimized for frequencies from 70 Hz on up so I am looking for the best way to configure them  as I move from a two channel system to a 5.1 channel system.

Analog by-pass is a priority so if I understand correctly, my front L/R speakers need to support full range.  If I do that I’d rather not add a second subwoofer to enable LFE output.

I'd be surprised if it couldn't - even the SP1.7 is capable of that.

I hope it does but I didn't find any reference in either the SP 1.7 or SP2 manual.
