Beck - Sea Change (2002)

Borrowing certain aesthetics from Serge Gainsbourg's beautiful concept album "Histoire de Melody Nelson", this is as coherent an album in terms of feel and production as one can find. Haunting ambiances, lush arrangements, and great melodies abound.

I've loved this album as AAC files for years, but I recently got the CD. So much more detail and clarity. This is one that deserves the best playback possible. Yay for me!
