That's because this came out in 2007 (12 years after their previous "Can We Go Home Now". It's easy to lose track of artists when they come back. In the case of the Roches, there never was a whole lot of publicity. The time that they were most publicized was probably their first album.

Good point!  I've been concentrating on new music the past few years, as there are so many more bands now than there were twenty or thirty years ago.  There's just not enough time to keep up with my favorities from my youth.

This is one that slipped by me way back when too. Your impression makes perfect sense according to the history of the band. This link will tell you about the band and their history http://www.alexgitlin.com/curvedair.htm

Thanks!

Curved Air "Phantasmagoria" 1972 Warner Bros. LP

This is a record that I found in a big lot of records I bought and know nothing about it... other that it sound perfectly representative of early 70s, British, progressive rock. Bill & Laura, what's the skinny?

Can't enlighten you much on this one although I do own it also..........Bill

I love this album!!! Keef is the epitome of Rock and Roll. :notworthy:

It's a great rock album. I'm sure my wife didn't care for it that early in the morning, but I needed some motivation to get ready for work  8)

Stewart Copland (The Police) was their drummer for a while. Wiki says from 1975 - 1977.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Dirt Silver & Gold

LP

Remember when double and triple albums put side 4 or 6 opposite side 1 (like this album), so you could stack them on your record player, play the sides in order and flip them over? :banghead: I must confess I did that at parties during my college & law school years.  :nono:
