Depeche Mode - Violator (1990)This is more techno-dance than their previous offerings. I like a lot of their earlier stuff, but this is not my cup of tea. Good thing it was only a buck.

Nine Inch Nails - "Pretty Hate Machine: 2010 Remaster"
I love this CD!
Hmm, must be a family thing.
Wow, my feelings are completely opposite of yours on this one, and our tastes are pretty similar on a lot of music. To me, this is when everything came together. They (finally) moved away from the Vince Clark "disco-pop" era that kept me away, to a darker, more introspective style of writing and playing. I have most of their stuff, but consider "Black Celebration", "Violator", and "Songs of Faith and Devotion" to be their best. I guess those are the three you should avoid
OMG!!! I thought I had all of Nine Inch Nails cds...guess there's another one going onto the list of what I want!!!!
If you've been good....maybe Santa will put it in your stocking....
weeeell...I think I've been good. does that count?
OK...so I'm confused! I tried looking for samples of this to draw my own conclusion....but the samples I found do not list the songs you're referring to??? I loved what I did find though...the only samples I found
