Her words fell like rain on the dry desert plain,
      precious and so quickly gone.

The New Pornographers - Electric Version.

One of the finds at today's WFMU record + cd fair.  I'll be playing and posting stuff for the next few days that I bought at the fair today.  12 cds for $19, now even Harry (Audiocheapskate) can appreciate that cost ratio.  Hung out with Martin (mjosef), Pumpkinman and Mrs. Pumpkinman at the fair and had a great lunch together, after seeing them at the NY Rave the day before.

The Strokes - Room on Fire.

This is another find from the WFMU record + cd fair.  It's the critically acclaimed NY group's second cd, after "This Is It."  If you like Television, The Feelies, Yo Lo Tenga or The Replacements, you will probably like this.

The cover sure looks familiar, wouldn't be surprised to discover that I already own it...but the woman on the cover has great bone structure and great feet... :) And a pleasing voice... :thumb:

This contemporary reggae artist simply blows me away. The opening track from The Beatles, Got To Get You Into My Life, sold me, a stunning rendition imho. SAMPLES

Sounding great thru a tubed pre, then right in the middle of cd the sound quality dumped on me. If it was vinyl I'd be checking for dust under stylus, but its a cd???

Edit: And now 'Money' comes up and sounds, well.........      MONEY!
