Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - The Hot Spot
From Analogue Productions on two 180g 45RPM vinyl long players, remastered by Steve
Hoffman. John Lee Hooker, Miles Davis, Taj Mahal, and Roy Rogers. Blues lovers will
really dig it.
Jeff Buckley - Grace
This 180g vinyl reissue from Music On Vinyl was a disappointment. It
sounded like Buckley was in the room singing (great), while his backing
band was was down the end of the street (not so great). If you are
thinking of buying this one I suggest you give it a pass. The original
1994 Columbia CD is miles ahead of it in terms of sound quality.
Vince Guaraldi Trio - Jazz Impressions of "A Boy Named Charlie Brown"
This is a minty original 1964 vinyl pressing on Fantasy and it really sounds
incredible. It's not only one of my favorite jazz records, it's also one of my
favorite records period. This is the album that got me turned on to jazz.
Freddie Hubbard - Open Sesame
Music Matters 180g 45RPM vinyl Blue Note reissue.
