blues from the porch...with the Man and his guitar.
Quote
Built simply around Ulmer's acoustic guitar and voice, Birthright features twelve songs that sound as if they could be 100 years old but also reflect a modern sensibility which grounds them in the here and now.

Woody Herman - 1963

Speakers Corner 180g vinyl reissue.  A lot of jazz fans regard the sessions
that Woody Herman recorded for Philips in the 1960s as the pinnacle of the
swinging big band sound, nearly 20 years after the swing era ended.  The
arrangements are tight and this band just lets it fly.  The sound quality is
breath taking.  If you shied away from big band music of the 1930s and 40s
because of sound quality concerns...well here you go.

Bill Evans - Portrait in Jazz

Analogue Productions 180g vinyl reissue.
