Glad I could make another introduction to the "Hillbilly Holiday." Beware of her second record, "In My Own Time." Way too slick, with Dalton sounding very much out of her element. However, there are two or three essential tracks on it.

Last year's "Green Rocky Road" are two-track demos, recorded in her living room. Recording quality is a bit rough, but the performances make it worth the spin.

Great pick. I tried to listen to the "Cotton Eyed Joe" release last night. Great performance, but the audio quality is too rough for my ears. The DVD that came with it is pretty cool.

Mike, your post in the folksy woman singers thread got me to check her music out.  :thumb:

Among all the British groups, they were right up there at the top. Is the box set worth the investment? My Zombies collection is all vinyl. :)

They had only 2 lp's to the best of my knowledge most of the songs were on 7"
41 unissued tracks,30 live recordings a total of 119 digitally remastered tracks
To me it was well worth it

In addition to those two lps, I have The Early Days

Sounds like the box set is well worth the investment.

thanks
