Caspian - You Are The Conductor (EP)

One of the better instrumental rock albums in my collection. Their new EP "Tertia" is a bit different, but just as brilliant. The guitar work on "Further in" will blow you away. Like a scream that builds and builds until you think you can't take it anymore - and then it's gone. Amazing stuff.

Maserati - Inventions for the New Season (2007)

Another instrumental "post rock" album that I recently became aware of. It has a mid-era Tangerine Dream feel about it, but uses guitars instead of synths as the lead instrument. The intense build-ups and rapid shifts to an 80's like mid-tempo groove make it really unique and incredibly emotional. Fantastic stuff.

Saxon Shore - The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore

My final "post rock" instrumental purchase of the past couple of months. Pretty good, but not as great as my last few posts. Some may like this better as it has a New Order groove, but Maserati is more to my liking.
