I picked this up because of your post. These guys are serious about their beliefs. The music is really cool though: harmonies, arrangements & instrumentation.

Dizzy Gillespie - The Complete RCA Victor Recordings

These 1940s sessions are wonderful though they are desperately
in need of a remaster. Some feature Gillespie as leader in his big band
and others showcase him as a sideman. It absolutely is worth hearing
despite the sound being a little muddy at times.

Dude, I've been listening to Pledging My Love since I was 11 years old. These many years later it still enchants me. Sunday mornings they play it on an FM r&b show I listen to. Saw the movie The Bad Lieutenant on cable three or four weeks ago and there is was. This song is one of a kind what it does to me. Nothing else I know of is as direct to the heart and pure.
