Silversun Pickups - Swoon

Kick ass drummer.

That is something many/most of my favorite bands have in common. I think it adds a sense of liveliness and drive that makes the music that much more engaging.

Excellent cd. I can't remember which, but they were on one of the late night shows about a week or so ago. You're right about the drummer; he's a bundle of energy. How are the earlier 2 cds compared to Swoon?

Carnavas is my favorite. Swoon is newer to me, but I like it. Pikul (their first) is an EP and a little raw-er (rare?). Its good but it doesn't spotlight their talent quite the same. Its a bit too sophmoric.

Lazy eye, their "hit" is off Carnavas. That is probably the song that got them noticed.

Started off playing a '89 cd, then a '99 cd and now this one from 2005...I noticed I had to back off the volume a couple clicks from the '89 to '99 disc, then again another couple clicks down from the '99 disc to the 2005... phew, dare I play a 2008-9 disc?
