Well...
This is not what I am listening to right now, but my latest listening session. If I am listening to music, I am not posting on audio forums whatever I am listening to at that moment.
In this order:
Nat Birchall - Sacred Dimension (2011) / Really great modern take on 'spiritual' jazz in the style of Alice Coltrane, Pharaoh Sanders, etc.
Ingrid Laubrock - The Last Quiet Place (2023) / German born sax player, now living in NYC. Really creative, and complex jazz, that borders on avant-garde at times. But still loaded with great melodies.
Unsuk Chin - Violin Concerto No. 1 (2002) / Could be the best violin concerto of the 21st century, so far. Unquestioningly modern, but still approachable.
Elliott Carter - Piano Concerto (1964) / This performance with Ursula Oppens is incredible. She navigates her way through this difficult, uncompromising piece with relative ease.
