Songs of Innocence - U2 (AAC (2014))

Samples

Mediocre album, but I didn't have to pay anything for it. It is not one I would have rushed out to get. I would have waited until I found it in the bargain bins, even though I have all their previous albums.

I didn't expect it to be good. They lost their creative spark a long time ago. The latest U2 album in my collection is Zooropa.

Thanks.  It will be r and r mostly.  The only work I'll do is tweaking his system, and the rest of the time will be listening to it.
Do you remember the name of the bistro in Camden?   Maybe I'll check it out when I go to Marblehead.  Wait, I just looked up the town and it's in northern Maine.  Too far to travel for this trip.
The three part iFi is the longest review I ever wrote.  I initially wrote  it as one very long review.  Then I thought nobody will read it completely in one sitting, so I broke it up into three parts.  I then realized after partitioning that the company info was in part I along with my review of the iTube buffer/preamp and a lot of readers are not interested in reading about tube buffers.  So it will look strange for people who only read part II to see no introduction or listing of my assoc. gear and that I start straight off describing several iFi devices.  I wrote an explanation at the start of part III that told people they should read the first page of Part I to get the background info for a better flow to the review if anyone is only going to read parts II and III. But this doesn't help those who already read part II only.
For the future, the solution is to write separate and shorter reviews for more than two components from the same manufacturer.  The total word count for the three parts totaled almost 7,500.  That's almost as long as my college senior thesis.  I think it's some of the best writing I've ever done, but I'll never do that again, too much work.  Sorry for the long winded answer to your non-question.  My stream of consciousness just took off.

:thumb:  I'll read all three parts from the beginning. I'm easily confused

I just remembered it wasn't in Camden - it was The Boathouse Bistro in Boothbay Harbor. Great little spot with an excellent wine menu if you ever make it up that way.

Antemasque - Antemasque (ALAC (2014))

I ordered this on a preorder in April. Got it in July. I guess they are officially releasing it on November 10, 2014. No art or samples. The Band is composed of a few of the Mars Volta guys.
