I will have to give the one album of his that I own a listen. I picked up Ledbetter Heights in a lot of CDs, but I have not yet listened to it. Interesting that Mel Gibson is his father-in-law.
Ledbetter Heights is his debut album and features Corey Sterling as lead singer I believe. Vaocals are quite different from the albums I mentioned avove ( Live On, Trouible Is) which feature a different singer. KWS sings mostly backup although apparently now has a few songs he does on his own. I alwasy though he was the lead singer but after listenig to the Ledbetter Hieghts album nad hearing how different the vocals were, I had to go poke around a bit.

Couple more things I just read....
After the debut album, Noah Hunt took over at lead vocals . In 2004 he released " The Place you're In" and it featured him (KWS) as lead vocalist. Seems the albums released later, after he took over at lead, are just Kenny Wayne Shepherd, not The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band
