It's my favorite album of their early period. "Eye in the Sky" is my favorite overall - "You're Gonna Get Your Fingers Burned" being my favorite song from that album. I only have a few of their discs. I'll probably pick-up "Ammonia Avenue" next. I played that a lot when it first came out.

To tell you the truth, they are one of those bands that didn't used to really appeal to me so I kind of passed them by. I saw someone listening to one of their albums the other day and decided to have another listen after many , many years.
Along with "I Robot" I also listened to "The Turn of a Friendly Card" , enjoyed them both. Will listen to " Eye In The Sky " and "Ammonia Avenue" next, sure I'll like them as well . Like you mentioned before, it's great when this happens .
Listening to alot on Rdio right now, going to have to start buying some discs now that the new speakers are done

Funny how we find ourselves at the same place, but from different directions. I actually had all of their albums on cassette in 1986 (Tales of Mystery - Gaudi), but traded them off decades ago when I switched to CD. I never replaced them and probably went 25 years without thinking of A.P.P. until I saw a post for "I Robot" on this thread about a year ago. I listened to the samples and immediately placed an order for it on Amazon. My tastes in music have changed considerably since the mid-80's, and I doubt I'll collect all of them again, but 3 or 4 of those albums are "must owns"

New Order - Republic (1993)

Not my overall favorite New Order album, but it does have three of my favorite New Order songs:

"Regret", "World" and "Avalanche". If those were the only songs on this album it would still be worth owning
