You didn't give an opinion, but I think there's good reason I always see that in the clearance bin at Half Price Books

I really liked their first two albums. I just started my break, so I'll be checking this out in the next couple of days.

I saw it in the bin also.  :D

Actually it wasn't  all that bad. I may pick it up next time I go back to the store. Slightly different from the stuff he did with Bush.

Outstanding. So many great songs and such a distinctive sound and feel to that album. Their finest hour?

The Manic Street Preachers  -  Know Your Enemy                2001

The second Manics album I purchased ( as a new release at the time ) and frankly I found it off-putting. Now they're one of my favourite bands...funny how that works sometimes.

I love it too. I also really like  "UP To Here" although I have heard there  are some issues  down in the US   reagarding "New Orleans is Sinking".  That song was written/recorded many many years before the disaster.
In any event,  they are a great band and you are right,  they have a very distictive sound  :thumb:

I love that band and totally get how some albums (not just theirs) only become favorites later in life. The Holy Bible did that for me when I first heard it (took me a couple of years to listen to it again) and it's now one of my all-time favs. Generation Terrorists hooked me for life back in 1992 with "Motorcycle Emptiness". Good stuff  :thumb:

I first heard of those guys when I was temporarily assigned (one of many) to Thule, Greenland and saw one of their videos from "Road Apples" on "Much Music" - a video feed they had on the base TV station.
