Best thing I knew of in life before I kissed a girl.  Actually, a girl kissed me when I was in the 3rd grade.  Blew my mind.  I even remember her name and what she looked like.  Grrreat songs on this!   I grew up on this music.  Just have a look at the song list if you're old enough to remember and weren't an idiot.  "Your Cash Ain't Nuthin But Trash", written by Leiber and Stroller (two Jewish guys, go figure), is lifetime superb.  On Atlantic, originally.  You might remember "Devil or Angel' from the radio, daddios!

Hey Slush . . Hi.  I'm thinkin about buying some 1.7's for a 15x12x8' room.  You don't use a sub, do you?  I prefer not to, at least not at this point.  What's your take??  Thanks.

Hey Jim,

I think the 1.7's would work great in that room. I don't use a sub. I've had my pair for a little over a year now and never felt like I "needed" one - even on some of the rougher discs I play. Most people who hear them for the first time are surprised at the quality of the bass these little Maggies put out, even if it isn't very deep. I love them and would only replace them with 3.7's.

Anytime!

I bought mine from Sound World on the west side of town. I think they're the only Magnepan dealer in Houston right now.
