Neko Case - Live from Austin, TX (2007)

Samples

I've been playing this a lot since I got it the past week.  The sound quality is very good compared to some of her other albums.  Wayfaring Stranger and In California are two killa tracks.

TV On The Radio - Nine Types Of Light      2011

I am a big fan of this band. Initially I was a little taken aback by this album - they seemed to have traded the somewhat frenetic feel of their previous album Dear Science for a more subtle and contemplative approach. It has certainly grown on me over repeated listens and I enjoy it more with each listen.

Joe Jackson - This Is It : The A&M Years  1979 - 1989       1997

Nice 2-disc anthology for those looking to explore the early-mid Joe Jackson catalogue - SQ is quite good and the songs were selected by the man himself so while there are a few head-scratchers and a few omissions I'd like to have seen ( isn't that always the case with these anthologies? ), overall, not bad at all.

Some Prog, I feel Procol probably started the genre.

Procol Harum Self-titled,  A Salty Dog, Shine on Brightly, Broken Barricades.
Trower at times does show his stuff...the earlier lp's are certainly Fisher driven.

Thin Lizzy - Thunder And Lightning    1983

The final Thin Lizzy studio album with Phil Lynott before his death finds them a long, long way from Whiskey In The Jar. Caught up in the shockwave of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, this is the heaviest Lizzy of all. Their most consistent album since Black Rose - A Rock Legend, it has aged surprisingly well.
