Hey, wanted to let you know that the Billy Squier SACD is available again. I ordered it last night. From what I've read the remaster (even the regular CD layer) blows away the original.

Music from Free Creek - VA

Something of a mystery, it was recorded in New York at the new Record Plant recording studios in 1969. Essentially a "super session" primarily consisting of jams based on sometimes well known songs, with top tier musicians and quite a few well qualified support band members (50 different folks including Todd Rundgren, Linda Ronstadt, Dr. John, Keith Emerson, Harvey Mandel and a bunch more - some others uncredited such as Jeff Beck and EC). Mostly an instrumental double LP with a very listenable and enjoyable eclectic mix; the Linda Ronstadt recordings sound rather out of place from the rest of the album but despite this they are fine performances.
