I'm still in Houston. My wife went back five weeks ago to sign-off on our apartment and arrange our household goods delivery. Looks like everything is set-up but my listening room (I'll take care of that myself). Like most of the other ex-pats we didn't want to risk a second evacuation, especially those with pets, so almost all the spouses stayed behind and are waiting to make sure there isn't another big wave. So far it looks like that won't happen as they really ramped-up the vaccination program. My dog and I are staying in a fully-furnished apartment just west of downtown. The plan is for Julie to come back just before our anniversary in late November then we'll travel for a month and visit family before we all fly back the first week in January. Can't wait to get back because other than the first week we were there all I saw was the view from our hotel room!
