Even had a song (June) that could have been a hit. Which is not something prog bands tend to do.
Tesseract - Altered State
This is a relatively new prog-metal band from the UK. And a very good one it is.
As with most prog-metal bands, they have chops galore, but unlike many prog-metal bands, they don't seem to use them to show off. Their musicianship always seems to serve the music. Which is emotional and moody. Some nice almost dark-ambient moments, interspersed with their more technically challenging metal aspects.
