Roxy Music - Heart Still Beating    1999

One of those live albums that makes you wish you'd been at the show...

Steve Earle - Jerusalem  2002

Whenever you get to taking yourself or the world around you too seriously, restore a sense of cosmic context by listening to the lead-off track on this album, Ashes To Ashes. Still one of my favorite all-time lyrics.

The Beatles - Let It Be    1970  ( 2009 Re-master )

Although some Beatles afficionados feel strongly that adding a string arrangement to "The Long And Winding Road" should be enough to land a man in prison, turns out that you still have to shoot somebody or something...

Omar - Best By Far (2000)

Funky English nu-soul. There's bassoon on two of the tracks. In your face, Zubin Mehta!

It's not "Entertainment!" , but that's a nearly impossible standard (it's one of my favorite 10 albums). Of courrse, they've aged 30 years, but the distinct guitar sound is still there. The vocal treatments on "It Was Never Gonna Turn Out Too Good" is a bit disconcerting, but thats my only major complaint. On the whole, it's a good (but not great) listen.
