Tycho - Sunrise Projector (2004)
This is the near impossible to find original release that was reissued with a slightly different track line-up a few years later and renamed "Past Is Prologue". Per the Tycho website:
I often get asked about the lineage of this album, which has taken on many forms, so I thought I’d lay it out here. The original release was entitled Sunrise Projector and was self-released. Later, Merck records picked it up and released it as Past is Prologue. The Merck version featured new artwork, two new original songs, and two new remixes — but was missing one of the tracks from the Sunrise Projector release.I saw this in a $1 clearance bin the other day and picked it up because I liked the cover artwork. I figured "Hey, it's only a buck". Glad I did. Little did I know that this would become one of the rarest discs in my collection. The best part is they were having a 20% off sale that day, so I got it for .80 cents. Incredible. In perfect - just out of the shrink-wrap condition. Sometimes we get lucky in this hobby
