Three generations of musicians who share the common passion for the sound of the '40s but above all for improvisation and swing. Certain members of Swing Session have been playing for several years in different stable formations together or on specific projects."When performing music from the 30's to 40's, the idea is not to totally reproduce the original arrangement, but to grasp the essential spririt of it. And this is precisely what the five fellows of Swing Session have achieved with this album, by putting their heart and soul into it.
Trio Sowari (Phil Durrant, Bertrand Denzler and Burkhard Beins) are an inflexible unit, uncompromising representatives of non-indulgent perception working with software samples, treatments, tenor sax, percussion, objects and "small electrics".
