Johnny Hodges, Soloist
Billy Strayhorn and the Orchestra

Speakers Corner 180g vinyl reissue.

Ella Fitzgerald - Clap Hands, Here Comes Charlie!

Classic Records 200g vinyl reissue.

Freddie Hubbard - Open Sesame

Music Matters 45RPM reissue.  Remastered by Steve Hoffman.

Grant Green - Green Street

Dinah Shore and Andre Previn - Dinah Sings, Previn Plays

When I think of Dinah Shore I think of the daytime talk show she hosted in the late
1970s.  Andre Previn is best remembered for his work as a composer and classical
music conductor.  This lost gem is really worth obtaining if you like vocal jazz.
Dinah Shore was more of a pop singer in the 1950s but Previn was well established
as a jazz pianist (he has done many great jazz sides with some of the best musicians
of the 1950s and 1960s).  In this 1960 recording date both Shore and Previn turn in
great performances.  Highly recommended.

SAMPLES

Hampton Hawes - Everybody Likes Hamtpon Hawes

For a West coaster Hawes sure could play some hard swingin' east cost jazz
when the mood struck him.

The Trumpet Summit Meets the Oscar Peterson Big Four

A virtual who's who of jazz.  This 1980 date features three masters of the trumpet (Dizzy
Gillespie, Clark Terry, and Freddie Hubbard) and these cats blow the roof off of the joint.
Oscar Peterson turns in a brilliant performance and Joe Pass is absolutely on fire.  A must-
have CD from Original Jazz Classics for any jazz fan.

Rosemary Clooney and Duke Ellington - Blue Rose

Wynton Kelly Trio w/ Wes Montgomery - Smokin' at the Half Note
