Still don't know WHY I did it but I order two SB3s a few minutes ago. The website took the 100off2 code so I did save the hundred bucks.
I guess I will be up for a mod or two.
I think they will go into the living room, bedroom and 2channel rig.
God I need a life

My girlfriend just doesn't quite understand what this is all about. SHe mutters something about nerd, square, geek and then rolls her eyes and shakes the head.
I use this as a clue to send flowers.

I have a great gal, she never asks how much. She likes her "square nerd" as she calls me (square for short

).
I am looking forward to hooking up the SB3 with some mods. Should be cool. I am real close to pulling the trigger on one of those DAC60s. Only thing is that are single input. Wish they had dual or triple inputs though.
Mods are going to get expensive!

I wouldn't let that single input on the DAC worry you much. Mine has 3, but I only use one at a time.
You still have to get up to change it, doncha? How tough is that?

Besides, I want to hear what one of those DAC60's sound like, especially once you have it all tricked out.

Sturgis gave me some great advice on this type of topic.

He suggested that a great way to get Josie interested or at least show respect for my love of music/audio toys is to .............(building anticipation)................

Dance with her while listening to music through your stereo.

You can set the room up with candles, flowers, and some Ella Fitzgerald 'Round Midnight.

That ain't no kiddin' Mike!!

It hooked my old lady when we were just getting to know each other and I spun vinyl for her every friday nite.

And if you wanna give some of them a treat, I might suggest taking a ballroom dancing class. Then you know what to do on the dancefloor. Quite frankly, our time in dance class was better than twice as long in couple's therapy. We learned to listen to each other or got our feet stepped on...

Speaking of Romance, I spent the day with Deadfish's wife.

She said he just picked up a second squeezebox for downstairs. She said he claimed it was "for her". AND she said he didn't tell her about it until after it had been shipped. She said, "What could I do, complain? What good would that have done?" Bill truly has it together.
