High Quality switch for SB3 into amps

Does anyone know of a transparent, high quality, two way switch that I could use between my SB3 and Rowland amps and then I could switch one more source in in to my amps like vinyl or HT receiver.

Also, digital volume control or analog volume control?  That is the question.  Go anolog modded SB3 (with anlog volume control) into amp or go digital out of SB3 to Dac and use the digital volume control on the SB3.

Thanks!
Bill

I posted a similar query a few months ago.  At the time, there was the rotary Quintete Switch offered by FidAudio, but when I went online to order, found out they are out of business.  Somebody also suggested one by Decware (but it's a 6-way, and a bit pricey)...

I'm still currently using a cheap Radio Shack push-button switch, while hunting for a decent 2 or 3-way rotary design.

I'm looking for the same thing.  I think the SB3 sounds better going straight into my amps than going through my Odyssey Tempest.  The problem is that I need to switch between 2ch and HT use.  I tried my Radioshack switch, then the Tempest sounded better again.  If you find a good switch, please let me know.

I built a switcher for this very purpose. If you are any good with a soldering iron or have a friend that is, it's a pretty simple build.

The best switch is no switch at all  , but I'd try the DACT switch from

I agree with Paul on the DACT CT3... a very clean switch!

even better than the DACT switch (supposedly) and comparable in price is the seiden switch from japan.  diyhifisupply.com has them and I just ordered one for myself actually ($59 for stereo with switchable ground).

It looks there is some DIY for the suggestions listed above.  Any assembled suggestions?

I used a hammond box, cardas RCAs, handmade electronics' solid silver wire (22 and 20 gauge for signal and ground, respectively), and tocos spdt switches (all sourcable from handmade).

Mine is a simple switchable two in and unswitched two out (subwoofer and mains amp). If you wanted more inputs, the elma or dact switches are nice.

The Decware switch in a box looks really good.

Niles makes some switches for about $75.00 each

This is just a pushbutton A & B switch

Here is a five input selector

The DIY switches discussed, the DACT and Seiden are both 5 position.

The Grayhill

and Elma

can be obtained in 2 position or more.

I have not listened to any of these switches in comparison to any other. I think the Decware would use better parts than the Niles, offhand.

I would suggest that one as possibly the more transparent of the built in a box switches

Art Taylor built me a switch.
It has a DACT CT3 a DPDT toggle and an Alps pot.
