Hi there!
A nice feature for the SP-2 would be a more intelligent use of the "remote 12V trigger outputs". Currently, the second output can be assigned to an input (at least, that's what my SP-1 PRO can do). I would suggest to make it possible to assign it to multichannel sound modes.
In a 7.1 setup with an SP1.7/2 there will be most likely at least 2 (Bryston) amps: a bigger one (2-3 channels) for the main speakers and another one for the rest. For stereo only the first amp is needed, for multichannel both are needed. Since there is typically more than one multichannel source in a system and a given input can carry both stereo and multichannel signals the "assign the second remote 12V trigger output to an input" doesn't exaclty meet the requirements in such a case.
The feature described could be implemented in the software without any hardware changes. The current option to tie the second remote 12V trigger out to an input could be kept (e.g. for users that switch on their projector through the 12V trigger out when switching to the DVD input).
To avoid the amps to be switched on and off too often (e.g. when switching from one multichannel source to another), one could implement a delay of a few seconds for the second amp to switch off after a change from a multichannel to a stereo sound mode.
I am considering to implement a functionality like this through my Crestron control system - however, if Bryston could do it in the pre/pro all user could take advantage (and I could save some time and $$

)
Thanks!
