IPOD Digital Out

IPOD Digital Out

OK, so it seems that Monitor Audio can get a digital signal out of the IPOD.

Does anyone know if its possible to intercept this signal and then feed it to an external DAC?  Is it I2S or SPIDF?

Pretty cool in any event.
