The UCD700AD & the UCD700PS are now in stock.   All my stock is the AD8620 version.  Most people who want the premium UCD module want the upgraded opamp buffer so I'm not even going to bother stocking the UCD700ST.   If you want one let me know and I can place them on my next order but they will be special order only.

Note I also have a couple transformers in stock.   I have two 1.2KVA transformers I sourced from Hypex that are designed to work with the UCD700.   I'll sell them for $100 for the first two people who contact me.    In the not to distant future I'll be stocking 800VA transformers I'm having custom made for our up and coming UCD700 mono blocks.    Most people seem to be interested in mono block configurations with the UCD700 so that is where I'm focusing my energy.

When do you expect to have the mono blocks available for purchase?

It is going to be awhile....   I have too many projects going and not enough capital.    The mono-blocks are on hold until the standard amps are selling.   If they sell good then the monos will come shortly after.   If they sell poorly it could be a long wait.  ;-)

Hi Kevin,

What do you mean by standard amps, A stereo UCD700 amps?

No... our newest finished products that will be released first will offer two through five channel amplifiers with both the UCD180 & the UCD400.

There is space inside for the UCD700 but we have not designed for it.    Our plans are to offer the UCD700 in mono block set-ups once the UCD180 & UCD400 amps are selling.

I will have transformers for the UCD700s before the finished monoblocks become available.

Kevin,

Is the UcD700 PSU capable of handling two UcD700AD modules, or is a separate PSU required for each module?

It can handle two but like anything... you get a stiffer supply with two of them.

Most people looking at the 700s are not as price conscious as are those looking at the lower power/price units.   Due to that I'm focusing on mono-block applications for them rather than 2-channel/single supply applications.   The single supply certainly saves money but at this power/price point it is less of the overall product price (based on percentage) than you would see with a UCD180 build.

At my age stiff can often be a good thing. :D
After I posted, I read that it's recommended that the 700 modules be used as monoblocks. Is a dual monoblock in one chassis feasible/advisable? And if so, what size chassis is needed? I'm thinking of tackling these as a DIY project to drive my IB subs once your custom transformers are available.

Figure the transformer being 7" in diameter.    We plan to mount the power supply upright so we will be using a 3U enclosure.   That means 5.25" high and 8.625" wide.   Two of them will occupy the same rack space as our larger chassis.    All of chassis will be 14" deep with the same aluminum X design element.

So... I'd go with 8.5"(W) x 14" (D) x 5.25" (H) per channel as a minimum.   Plan on some heatsinking for the UCD700.   It may have >90% efficiency but your still talking big power.

Here is the drawing of our large chassis.
