While exploring the myriad of speakers for an audio system I'd like to put together, I have looked near and far, mostly far, and, lo and behold, stumbled upon one of the true speaker legends working from his shop in suburban New York, Richard Shahinian. He's been making speakers for 3 decades+ and while many speakers come and go, his speakers are classics...

I owned the Diapasons for 10 years and was very happy with the performance. Very musical and non-fatiguing. The umbilical is a bit of a pain, though. Works best with a solid atate amp.
