digital cable for interconnect ?
« on: 14 Feb 2006, 05:24 pm »
I have a 75 ohm coax digital cable that is sitting idle . Is it ok to use it as an interconnect ,  if so , would it be an improvement over a like-quality interconnect .

Yes ... and no.

It will work.

No it shouldn't be any improvment (unless the old cable was damaged).

I assume that you are talking about an "audiophile grade" digital cable........and not one made with RG-6 or anything else with a copperweld center conductor.

You probably would not want to listen to one of them.
